Technology Associates clients benefit from our expertise in all processes of selecting and implementing an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution. To track and manage the project, we use the Technology Associates developed EAM Selection and Implementation Methodology (SIM). SIM is based on proven processes and tasks. The descriptions below provide details of the phases that comprise SIM:
User Requirements Definition
Technology Associates interviews users and documents user’s immediate and future requirements for an EAM solution. Information Technology requirements are also reviewed and documented.
Business Process Review
Technology Associates reviews existing business process with users and documents the changes and implementation processes that are required once the EAM is installed.
Select System
Technology Associates works with clients to select EAM system that best meets the user and technical requirements established in the user requirements definition phase.
System Installation
Selected vendor installs system, loads converted data and trains users. Technology Associates manage the process for our client to ensure the installation meets the client’s requirements.
System Implementation
Technology Associates and the client review the system to ensure it is functioning as required. This phase can include tasks such as reviewing business process changes for functionality, reviewing the user queries and reports to ensure they are providing the required results and establishing data that should be included in the EAM system to fulfill the client’s asset management program requirements.
Post Implementation Review
Technology Associates recommends that a post-implementation review be conducted against the EAM database after it has been loaded to evaluate if the system is providing the expected results for the Utility.
